What B1 means

This is how the Common European Framework (CEFR) describes B1:

  • Understands the main points of clear standard language on familiar topics such as work, study and leisure.
  • Copes with most situations that come up while travelling where German is spoken.
  • Writes simple connected texts on familiar topics, talks about experiences, plans and hopes, and briefly gives reasons for opinions.
